Words are my medicine.

Blemished love is better than the pretty, perfect kind.

For one exists in lovers’ hearts. The other, in the mind.

Shit happens when life happens to the best of Him and Her.

And everything they’ve worked to build begins to bleed and blur.

The passions flare, they yell, they glare, their spirits resolute.

Both bear the wounds of lovers’ quarrels, of words both null and moot.

But when the ego takes a bow and lets the heart step in,

Sticks and stones are nothing to the lovers’ hearts’ thick skin.

And stronger still they both will grow as love and life proceeds,

Revisiting the lessons learned and planting better seeds.
